理查德·格里格（Richard J. Gerrig）是美国纽约州立大学的心理学教授。获 Lex Hixon 社会科学领域杰出教师奖。在认知心理学研究领域有专长，是美国心理学会实验心理学分会的会员。从《心理学与生活》这部经典教科书第14版修订时开始，格里格成为该书的合著者。
菲利普·津巴多（Philip G. Zimbardo）是美国斯坦福大学的心理学教授，当代著名心理学家，美国心理学会现任主席。40多年来，由于他在心理学研究和教学领域的杰出贡献，美国心理学会特向津巴多教授频发了Hilgard普通心理学终生成就奖。由他开创的《心理学与生活》这部经典教科书哺育了一代又一代杰出心理学工作者。在这个最新修订版中，津巴多主动让贤，推举格里格为本书第一作者，其大师风范令人肃然起敬。

坎特威茨（Kantowitz.B.H.），美国西雅图市巴特尔记忆研究所人的因素交通中心的首席科学家。1969 年他从威斯康星大学获得了实验心理学博士学位。从1969-1987年他在印第安纳州西拉斐特市珀杜大学担任心理学的助教、副教授和教授。1974年坎特威茨博士被选为美国心理学会的一名特别会员。他曾经在俄勒冈大学的一个国家研究机构中做过心理健康方面的博士后，在挪威特隆赫姆市挪威技术研究所担任过工效学方面的高级讲师，以及在瑞典律勒欧大学担任过技术心理学方面的客座教授。他撰写和编著的心理学著作超过了12本。他在人的注意、心理负荷、反应时、人机交互作用以及人的因素方面的研究得到了教育部、国家心理健康研究所、国家航空航天局以及空军科研办公室的支持。他在《组织行为与人的作业》编辑部负责了五年，目前他负责《人的因素》刊物。

这是一本非常好的心理统计入门书籍。这本书现在最新的版本我不知道是什么，也不知道我的这本究竟是哪一版，因为pdf文件中没有这些信息。我当初读的是第四版，很可能这个是新一些的版本，上面给出的图书信息是按照第四版来的。原因没别的，我对第四版有感情而已。呵呵。据说北大的甘怡群老师讲此书翻译成了中文，不久前才推出的。有兴趣的人可以去找找看看。但是英文版还是很好。
